i sung of  Chaos and Eternal Night

within the Eye of  the Hurricane

where up was down

back was forward

and the silence echoed your name

nothing could tear away

my need for you

in dark

in cold

inside

below

all sanity gone

all vanity done

all emotions just one

pain

dancing

to the song i sung

no end to the night

no end to your spite

no will left to fight

i held the pain close

singing

sweet nothings

to no one

“Rock You Like A Hurricane”   Scorpions

lyrics ~

It’s early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I’ve got to leave
It’s time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
 My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He’s licking his lips
He’s ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Rock you like a hurricane

It’s early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And really loud
My cat is purring
It scracthed my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He’s licking his lips
He’s ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am

“For My Lover”    Tracy Chapman

lyrics ~

Two weeks in a Virginia jail
For my lover for my lover
Twenty thousand dollar bail
For my lover for my lover

And everybody thinks
That I’m the fool
But they don’t get
Any love from you

The things we won’t do for love
I’d climb a mountain if I had to
And risk my life so I could have you
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you…

Everyday I’m psychoanalyzed
For my lover for my lover
They dope me up and I tell them lies
For my lover for my lover

And everybody thinks
That I’m the fool
But they don’t get
Any love from you

The things we won’t do for love
I’d climb a mountain if I had to
And risk my life so I could have you
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you…

I follow my heart
And leave my head to ponder
Deep in this love
No man can shake
I follow my heart
And leave my mind to wonder
Is this love worth
The sacrifices I make

Two weeks in a Virginia jail
For my lover for my lover
Twenty thousand dollar bail
For my lover for my lover

Everyday I’m psychoanalyzed
For my lover for my lover
They dope me up and I tell them lies
For my lover for my lover

And everybody thinks
That I’m the fool
But they don’t get
Any love from you

The things we won’t do for love
I’d climb a mountain if I had to
And risk my life so I could have you
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you…

∙ò∙ life is not just a bowl of cherries ∙ó∙

∙ó∙

life’s too mysterious

to waste it on wondering why…

just try

∙ó∙

but don’t limit yourself

to one bowl

  of  red cherries…

try some yellow,

pink or purple

or…

have a banana

∙ó∙

take a chance

   you may like it…

so what if  you don’t?

who cares?

∙ó∙

life should be more

Hallows Eve   at   POETRY JAM
prompt:   A day-before poem. Something coming up to an event, after which all is different.

Halloween (a shortening of All Hallows’ Evening), also known as Hallowe’en or All Hallows’ Eve, is a yearly holiday observed around the world on October 31, the night before All Saints Day. Much like Day of the Dead celebrations, the Christian feast of All Hallows’ Eve also incorporates traditions from pagan harvest festivals and festivals honoring the dead, particularly the Celtic Samhain {my poem is about what happens before any festival or holiday honoring the dead ~ first, people must die.}

thanks for the fabulous prompt, Nan!

“Into Dust”  Mazzy Star

{From their first album “So Tonight That I May See”, published in 1993.}

lyrics:

Still falling
Breathless and on again
Inside today
Beside me today
Around broken in two
till you eyes shed
Into dust
Like two strangers
Turning into dust
till my hand shook with the way I fear

I could possibly be fading
Or have something more to gain
I could feel myself growing colder
I could feel myself under your fate
Under your fate

It was you breathless and tall
I could feel my eyes turning into dust
And two strangers turning into dust
Turning into dust
