Ruth Bernhard 1962

/

you put me in this box

hoping what?

that you could keep me to yourself?

that you could subdue me into loving you?

that i would suffocate and die?

/

don’t you realize you can’t hold me this tight?

my resolve will only deepen

i will pull further away

…..pull harder

pull longer

until

you have to release me

one way or another

for i am stronger than you think

there is nothing you can force me to do

/

you do not have the power

to berate me

to degrade me

to enslave me

/

you cannot take my heart

for i am not willing to give it

you cannot damage my soul

for i will not let you touch it

/

it is your soul

in this box made of  your evil thoughts

fouled beyond salvation

thinking you are in control

thinking my life is in your hands

you can kill nothing

but this body

this

body

which

has

no

true

meaning

/

you will only destroy yourself

for my memory will forever be in your mind

haunting each and every little thought

filling them with curses

which are only the truth

about you…..

hell will seem like paradise

by the time i’ve finished with you

"Dream" Aladár Kacziány

·Ᏹ·

awaken to a dream
grab a handful of stars
to make a tiara
for the Sun…  kiss her cheek
when you place it on her

awaken to a dream
catch the breeze in a bowl
scent it with  fresh apples
give it to the Devil
tell him it’s your pleasure

awaken to a dream
fill a jar with moonlight
take it to a mermaid
wash her hair with moonbeams
then plait it with lilies

awaken to a dream
look upon an angel
come down to carry you
up to the softest clouds
so you may rest in peace

“Send Me an Angel”   Scorpions

Music: Rudolf Schenker
Lyrics: Klaus Meine

The wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
It’s the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The passage out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
It’s the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The way out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

baby did a bad thing

.

.

i knew she was gonna break my heart

but once i touched her

there wasn’t a fuckin’ thing i could do about it

.

she took my heart between her teeth

and shook her head back and forth

like a dog with a bone

.

only i was the one

slavering at her feet

willing to do anything….

a. n. y. thing.  she wanted….

to convince her of  my undying love

.

all in the split-second

of  eternity

that it took to touch her arm

.

but she spit out my heart

whispered  “maybe another day”

and walked away

.

then baby did a bad, bad thing

.

.

i wasn’t enough….

she wanted the adoration

of  every man in the bar

and was willing to do

what they wanted to get it

.

i felt like cryin’

knowing she’d go that low

for a standing ovation

.

i lit a cigarette

caught her eye

then turned and walked away

.

i knew i’d find true love again

somewhere else….

another day

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps”   George Harrison

lyrics ~

I look at you all see the love there that’s sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don’t know why nobody told you how to unfold your love
I don’t know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you.

I look at the world and I notice it’s turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don’t know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don’t know how you were inverted
No one alerted you.

I look from the wings of the play you are staging
While my guitar gently weeps
‘Cause I’m sitting here doing nothing but aging
Still my guitar gently weeps.
