absence may make the heart grow fonder
but your presence is killing me
baby,  you’re tempting me
just like Adam did Eve

now the bible’s got that story wrong
the Devil got to Adam first
didn’t want to take the blame
so he put it all on Eve

ever since that day
women been accused
of  being the temptress
but,  men,  it’s really on you

’cause everybody knows down deep
if  we’re the weaker sex
then how can we resist
when you do the things you do?

absence may make the heart grow fonder
but your presence is killing me
baby,  you’re tempting me
just like Adam did Eve

  1. haha this is a hoot….we are just so tempting…lol…true though that you have been taking the blame for far too long….def lyrical as well dani…fun piece…and merry christmas to you!

  2. What a unique take on the prompt, Dani! So much started way back then…..

    Merry Christmas, Dani!

  3. Oh yes indeed. After all, why has no-one ever stopped to ask why Adam wasn’t to blame too when all he had to do was say ‘No’…lol
Thanks for the chuckle…. Merry Christmas to you and yours Dani.

  4. Brilliant, loved this…think poor Eve always gets all the blame when Adam just as much to blame haha, thank you for sharing.

  5. Yes, you got it right , he..he…~

Nice to see you Dani ~ Wishing you and your family Merry Christmas ~

  6. Very charming. I think it was the Devil made her do it! But who knows in what guise! Thanks. k.

  7. There’s certainly more than what we’ve been told! It’s the age-old war of the sexes acted for the first time. Nicely dani! Merry Christmas to you!

    Hank

  8. haha..now blame it all on the men…smiles…but def. way too many women during the centuries have been blamed for things they didn’t do…good to get the balance right on this…happy holidays dani

  9. Nice: you grab that hermeneutic — make it your own. Funny !!

  10. I totally agree with your logic here–and I think it may also apply to chocolate. :P Love this, Dani–have a wonderful holiday and thanks for all your support.

  11. You stepped out of your normal voice with this one, and I really like it. The repeated refrain is, indeed, lyrical; it is meant to be set to music.

  12. ..ha.. such a strong feminism point you just raised in here… i won’t argue more… it reminds of a very old poem i read addressing women as plague to the men… yet cleverly stated towards the end(not the exact lines though): that everytime a plague peeps out of the window..here comes up the eyes of men… hihi…

Merry Christmas to you Dani and to your family…

    smiles…

i'd love to hear from you ♥ thanks! {comments must be approved before they are visible}
