⩫⋅ᴤ⋅⩫ a pastel world ⩫⋅ᴤ⋅⩫

⋅ᴤ⋅

my melancholia
cannot be assuaged today
by the beauty  found in nature

no peace or joy
no redemption or hope
console my  forlorn heart

there are not enough pinks and corals and blues
i wish to paint the earth in watercolors
blending softly one into another

perhaps in a pastel world
only goodness could survive

with kindness and love,
gentleness,  warmth and compassion

wouldn’t that be lovely?

you may enjoy the first minute or two of  this song,  which is a beautiful instrumental,  though you are welcome to listen to all 21 minutes if  you’d like {smile}

  1. i wish to paint the earth in watercolors…i love that line…of course i love watercolor as a medium….and perhaps in a pastel world those things would come to pass…we should paint it…smiles.

  3. A world painted in peaceful pastels sounds good to me, perhaps right after we finish the joyful red and green holiday season. Merry Christmas, Dani.

    I hope you found enough pastel to lift your melancholy for a bit at least–perhaps in a pastel world only good would survive. Happy holidays to you, Dani.
