trying
to
be
unobtrusive

an
observer
only

thinking
i
can
just
watch
him

talk
smile
laugh

quickly
becoming
too
close

intoxicated
by
his
eyes
his
lips
his
kisses

warmed
by
the
love
pouring
out
of
him

washing
over
me

looking
at
him
through
a
prism
of
love

the
world
spins
around
turns
upside
down
&
inside
out

as
the
love
in
his
eyes
turns
to
lust

and i
can’t
do
any
thing
but
respond
in kind

the
more
he
wants
me

the
more
i crave
him

the
closer
he
gets

the stronger
my
need

no longer
observer
now
his
to
do
with
as
he
will

as
i want

“Every Step You Take { I’ll Be Watching You }”    Sting/The Police

lyrics ~

Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you

Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I’ll be watching you

Oh, can,t you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take

Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you

Since you’ve gone I’ve been lost without a trace
I dream at night I can only see your face
I look around but its you I can’t replace
I feel so cold and I long for your embrace
I keep crying baby, baby, please…

Oh, can’t you see
You belong to me
How my poor heart aches
With every breath you take

Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I’ll be watching you

Every move you make
Every step you take
I’ll be watching you

I’ll be watching you
I’ll be watching you
I’ll be watching you
I’ll be watching you…

  1. oh there is a fine line there….where the observer becomes part of the game…this got saucy pretty quick hehe…and was wondering how much further we were going to descent down the page…smiles…

the cascade of you words works really well here to accentuate the scene and the excitement/anticipation dani….very well played…

  2. Well, I would say in this case observing led to action. LOL. Hot, Dani!!

  3. ya know… i never thought that observing someone could be so dangerous…whew…hot interaction here..think i have to be careful whom i watch…smiles

  4. Nice sensual dance of words ~ Take care Dani ~

  5. Love the passion and lust in this. Very nice. I also really like the drawing. It went perfectly with the poem.

  6. Fantastic sketch – and poem. Love the walk it walks down the page and gains momentum, as in real life.

  7. I so enjoyed The Observer. You have a way of taking me along on your journey. I had to fan myself a moment there, as it made me recall a past moment in time. You are so gifted.

  8. I love your poem, my Sista Poet! What a wonderful feeling; I’m so glad you have someone who makes you feel like that. I am sad, though, that I couldn’t read the last part of the poem because it wandered off the page. :-(

I like the new autumn look of the blog!

  9. hypercryptical

    Love it!

    Anna :o]

  10. Ut oh… as long as it wasn’t an illicit affair, there’s nothing wrong with a bit O lust …:) Very sexy Dani.. I always thought that Police song was a bit on the ‘stalker(ish)’ side..

    • NOTHING illicit, i promise! {smile} and, yes, i agree the song DOES sound like a stalker, doesn’t it? thanks for your visit, Bren! ♥

i'd love to hear from you ♥ thanks! {comments must be approved before they are visible}
