·ɤ·

the shadows hold sway

in dark corners of  my mind

{ trying to get out }

·ɤ·

i feel them struggling

against my frail defenses

{ trying to get out }

·ɤ·

i try to fight back

building strong walls   …but they keep

trying to get out

·ɤ·

what’s hiding behind

the shadows?  i don’t know   …but they’re

trying to get out

·ɤ·

i’m afraid to look

beneath the shadows   …they’re still

trying to get out

·ɤ·

it’s a constant fight

between them and me   …always

trying to get out

·ɤ·

and my biggest fear

is what will happen to me

…if  they do get out?
