the beauty of  nature unfolds

small miracles before our eyes

every moment of  the day

the beauty of  nature unfolds

man can’t create in such a way

only copy what nature made

this is my first attempt at the poetry form triolet.   i did not try to use iambic tetrameter or pentameter, only keeping to the bare bone requirements of  the form ~ eight lines, eight syllables each; the first, fourth and seventh lines are the same, as are the second and eighth; the third and fifth lines rhyme. i learned about triolets from the amazing poet  . Shân Ellis . @Awdures. at  . One Stop Poetry Form ~ Triolet.

i would like to thank  . Ainsley Allmark . @DolphinDancer. for so generously allowing me to use his beautiful photograph.  to see more of  Ainsley’s stunning photography and poetry, please click on any of  the Dolphin links at the bottom of  this page.

  1. I LOVE how you used the yellow font to match the gorgeous hibiscus.

Wanted to photoshop out that fly tho. ;) I guess even a fly is a small miracle I should appreciate? I have so much more to learn and accept on my path to enlightment.

    • i was going to include something about the miracle of wings on flies and birds in my poem, but it didn’t work out. {smile} {and i never alter photographs taken by other people.} thank you so much for visiting and commenting. ♥

  2. nature does carry much beauty…i am rather fond of her and have yet to see anything man can create to compete…nice triolet…

    • thank you, brian! ♥ i’ve been really nervous about trying any of the forms requiring the use of “iambic meter” so decided to just go ahead without it.

  3. Flies are creatues of God, too eh?? :)

Thanks for popping over to my place too!! i loved seeing your cheery hibiscus gravatar appear!
    xo

    • i must admit that i’m more tolerant of flies in photographs than i am when they’re buzzing around me. {grin} thanks again, Jannie. and it’s nice to “meet” you. ♥

  4. Nature and its facets have layers of mystery wrapped in them .. and we humans always try to imitate some of its very best faces :

man can’t create in such a way
    only copy what nature made
