J.T.  Whitaker
aka  JTW

James Whitaker  aka  JTW  is a writer,  poet,  lyricist,  photographer and jewelry maker.  he is also a generous and kind man ~ i know this because when i reblogged one of  his poems,  he sent me an email thanking me.  he’s the only person who’s ever done that.  i actually first discovered JTW on twitter  { @jtwhitaker } where he says this about himself  “i ♥ music, scotch & lowercase.”  { i love lowercase, too ~ i can type faster.}  there is an honesty to JT’s writing that touches me deeply and he uses words in a way that i can only dream of  doing.  his blogs   JTW   and  JTW on tumblr   are full of  prose,  poetry,  photographs,  music ~ sharing his life journey and asking questions that we all want to know the answers to.

Steve  Isaak

Steve Isaak  is a published writer of  poetry,  prose  and erotica.  i love his poetry  { to find it on his blog   READING & WRITING BY PUB LIGHT  click on the LABEL  POEMS   in his right sidebar.}  on Wednesdays Steve publishes short stories by other writers  { no poetry }  on his blog  Microstory A Week  { click  HERE for submission guidelines }  if  your story is selected for publication,  he will then provide exposure on both of  his blogs and Steve’s  facebook page  for links to any works which you get published elsewhere,  too.  { Steve has been kind enough to publish several prose pieces of  mine. }

Steve’s personal taste as he describes it is ~

“My favored genres, the ones that really make me go wow are:  - speculative — i.e., stuff that’s Twilight Zone-ish, not quite “hard[-technology]” science, but with “what if. . .?” elements infused with that science-fiction-ish feel. . . stuff with “edge” but doesn’t completely break from traditional/solid story telling – but doesn’t spoonfeed the reader, either.”

here is the official bio from Steve’s blogs ~

Steve Isaak has published a hundred and sixty poems and stories, in print and on the Net. His work, sometimes by-lined as “Nikki Isaak”, has been published on the adult websites   Erotica Readers & Writers Association,   Flashes in the Dark,    Every Night Erotica,    Divine Pleasures    among others.  He is the author of three paperback anthologies    Can’t sleep: poems, 1987 – 2007,    Charging the scarlet b-sides: microsex stories & poems    and the forthcoming Nightwired: poems as well as the editor of two blogs:   Microstory A Week  and  READING & WRITING BY PUBLIGHT.”

Scenter of baked mysteries: ginger drunge XIII  by   Steve Isaak

Dreamtime night hike, mix of now and twelve years back – my friend, Dennis, and I smoke a heady exhaled bowl, while walking a bike path from the parking lot, where he left his orange cream, engine erratic car, to an outdoor movie theater, its elevated dimly lit screen looming a quarter mile away.

Dennis hums a Celine Michael with Metallica song, “My Faithful Heart Will Roam On”, the theme ballad of the flick we’re going to see, Interview with a Titanic Vampire II: Sleepaway Cruise, where a “hunky” (according to Dennis) Tom DiCaprio has reprised his role of Felissa Baker, a gender-mad fangster.

“Oh, shut up,” I say, smiling. “We only listened to your stupid song thirteen times on the way here. I thought only girls went in for that bullstuff!”

Twelve,” Dennis insists, laughing, “Learn how to count, hetero-boy!”

One of the other movie-goers…..Read More

aka  expatinCAT

i met Peter  on twitter in late 2010  { @expatinCAT } ~  he tweets beautiful poetry.  he offered to write me a poem if  i would bake him a  Victorian Sandwich Cake.   i did and tweeted him photos which were terrible because  (a)  my non-smart cell phone takes horrible pictures and (b) by the time i got even a semi-decent pic,  the whipped cream filling was melting causing the top layer to slide.  a few months later i made him a Black Forest Cake.  { i baked real cakes then sent him terrible pictures.  as bad as they looked,  they tasted great!  the fun for me was baking something i’d never tried before. } {smile}

Peter has been living and working in Spain for the last 17 years.  he works as a freelance teacher,  teaching English as a foreign/second language.  an amateur writer who’s trying to  “get his head round what it means to be me at the ‘meridian’  of  his life.  how he fits this space and this time fits him ~  writing is a form of expression that allows him to do it.”   Peter likes writing,  poetry,  haiku,  art,  American fiction,  thinking,  business,  beauty,  music,  philosophy,  physics,  natural history,  mathematics,  writing…   he has published poems  *Zanzibar*  in Symmetry Pebbles Issue 2,  haiku published in the British Haiku Society Members’ Anthology 2011,  and several haiku and senryu in upcoming journals of the  British Haiku Society.  Peter has  two blogs ~  expatinCAT’s Blog  and  tesellatedmein his own words ~

“I  write words;  haiku,  senryu,  gogyohka,  tanka… poetry.  Member of the British Haiku Society.  Blogger.  Gentleman.”
