she loves
six-inch stilettos
black leather pants
smoking imported cigarettes
Opium Parfum
and Sara
she craves
dancing all night
riding motorcycles
getting high
champagne cocktails
and Sara
she defies
gravity
cellulite
laws of averages
growing older
and Sara
she says fuck off to
falling to Earth
any color except black
addiction
death
and Sara

lyrics ~
I see you driving ’round town
With the girl I love and I’m like,
Fuck you!
I guess the change in my pocket
Wasn’t enough
I’m like, Fuck you!
And fuck her too!
I said, if I was richer, I’d still be with ya
Ha, now ain’t that some shit?
And although there’s pain in my chest
I still wish you the best with a…
Fuck you!
Yeah, I’m sorry, I can’t afford a ferrari,
But that don’t mean I can’t get you there.
I guess she’s an xbox and I’m more atari,
But the way you play your game ain’t fair.
I pity the fool that falls in love with you
Oh shit, she’s a gold digger
Well, just thought you should know
I’ve got some news for you
Yeah go run and tell your little boyfriend
I see you driving ’round town
With the girl I love and I’m like,
Fuck you!
I guess the change in my pocket
Wasn’t enough
I’m like, Fuck you!
And fuck her too!
I said, if I was richer, I’d still be with ya
Ha, now ain’t that some shit?
And although there’s pain in my chest
I still wish you the best with a…
Fuck you!

honestly, i would die in six-inch stilettos…smiles…cool write..direct and real..ha..i like
but aren’t they pretty? thank you, claudia! ♥
gosh…how sobering addiction is ….have worked with addicts….its a rather surreal kinda life….i wonder what led her up to that…
you focused in on exactly my main point ~ her addictions that she may only admit to being things she “loves” or “wants” but can do without. it was probably walking around in six-inch stilettos that led to her addictions! {smile} thanks for coming by, brian!
I loved the poem and the picture! Well done!!
thank you so much, Audrey! ♥ i appreciate your visit and kind comment!
Sassy one, Dani. Love the descriptions and those heels! I’d fall flat on my face.
i wouldn’t care about walking in them ~ just prop me in a corner where i can look good. {smile} thanks for the prompt, Victoria. i hope the progression of her emotions in each stanza got across that she’s addict, including being addicted to Sara.
Loved the image, the words then fit it so perfectly.
Then the lyrics of the song. Last night, my xbox gave up the ghost and I had to buy a new one today. But there is nowt wrong with being atari just as there is nothing wrong in saying fuck off at times.
Great post.
especially if someone has already rejected you, as in the song. thanks so much for your kind comment, Tino.
Awesome poem! Gotta love those shoes! Never heard this version of the song before, but the CeLo one is definitely catchy!
the you tube search i did had CeLo’s version, too. i’d die for those shoes! then probably die in those shoes trying to walk! {smile} thanks for stopping by, Ms Mouse! ♥
The repetition in this is really effective.
thank you, Tony! i probably overuse repetition in my poems, but i like the effect. i appreciate your visit!
You painted her well Dani, nice format of the words across the page ~ Can’t walk in those heels anymore ~
Have a good week ~
don’t have to walk in them, just have to be seen in them. {smile} thank you, Grace! ♥ have a good weekend, too.
*covers virgin ears*
such language! *faints dead away*
LMFAO!!!! OMG! you are SOOOOO funny!!!! ♥
I’ve never worn shoes like this…I’m too tall…I look at them in envy…maybe I need a change in attitude… love this poem, thoroughly enjoyed! :)
i think they’d look even sexier on a tall woman! i just worry about anyone actually trying to walk in them! thank you for your visit and kind comment, Di! ♥
Powerful image–some people have a tendency toward addiction, when they kick one habit another takes its place. (I’ve even known addicts addicted to recovery programs). Fine work here.
i’ve known a couple of people like that, too. thank you very much for your visit and kind comment, nico!
Cool write ! :)
thank you, ayala! ♥ much appreciated!
This poem packs a wallop, Dani. I join Claudia who says she would die in those shoes. I would consider them an instrument of torture. LOL.
but they’re soooooo pretty! and sexy! and i’m sure you’re right! {smile} ♥ thanks for stopping by, Mary!
A great image of attitude and swank. The song was kool too.
thank you very much, henry! i appreciate your visit and comment.
So freakin’ cool. It should be a song!
thank you, brandi! ♥ you’re too kind!!
oh so much addiction…. I loved your description.
I bet I can’t gulp in these addictions…. we live miles apart and life is so different…..
that’s true, but there are some we should both find if we look {like people getting addicted to other people in an unhealthy way} and i’m sure we both could find addictions the other could not. that’s one of the amazing things about the internet, isn’t it? we can learn so much more about every day life around the world. thank you so much for your visit and comment, sreeja! ♥
Walking in those shoes would give anyone an attitude! Sometimes the lines blur between what we love and what we crave. But I do miss those midnight motorcycle rides….
{smile} too cold this time of year, anyway! thanks so much for your visit and comment, Yvonne! ♥
I love it Dani and I so want those heels ;D
YOU rocked it <3
thanks, Ella! ♥ i want those shoes more than any i can remember ~ even Dorothy’s ruby slippers!
…I wonder what made you, girls, liked high hills stilettos? Yeah, it’s kind of sexy to look in your part…but then sometimes i find it kind of a torture to your feet…ha.. Tight write here i must say… and liked the forming…smiles…
there’s a saying over hear that beauty is only achieved through pain… {smile} personally i’m a jeans and boots kinda girl, but i’d make an exception for those shoes!
And of course you DO know why men love women in Stiletto heels?
Men LOVE those short…menacing steps!
Loved your Raging 55 Dani Dear…
I just Love it when you play…:-)
Have a Kick Ass Week-End…G
among other reasons, G! {smile} i’m behind on visiting but hope to catch up by Sunday night. always fun to play! *hugs*
Very cool!
thank you, Mary! ♥ much appreciated!
another world, shoes and all =)
killer shoes, probably literally after three steps! {smile}
Love the edgy, f-u feel of the poem, and the structure as well
thank you very much! i appreciate your visit and kind comment.
What a character description you’ve created here, Dani. So well done, solid in presentation, no contradictions or unbelievable attributes. Solid.

thank you, Kim! ♥ maybe it’s unbelievable that anyone could actually walk in those shoes! {smile} but they’re so pretty!
…but certainly, NOT dancing in six inch stilettos? :)
i wouldn’t even be able to WALK in them! {smile} thank you for stopping by, Margaret! ♥
