i am pleased to be featuring some of the most creative, talented, brilliant {really!} poets of our time. i have been fortunate over the past two and a half years to meet this amazing group of people through twitter and their blogs. not only are they writers who excite and enchant and entrance their readers, they are, one and all, nice people who are supportive of everyone in our online poetry community. the “age of technology” has, in fact, facilitated the spread of the ARTS! ~ poetry, photography, art, prose, music… i have friends i have yet to meet face-to-face from all around the world. day or night, you can visit their blogs and be transported to another time or place or frame of mind with just a few clicks of a mouse. i find it thrilling! and i believe you will find it equally thrilling to discover their words.

i met Peter on twitter in late 2010 { @expatinCAT } ~ he tweets beautiful poetry. he offered to write me a poem if i would bake him a Victorian Sandwich Cake. i did and tweeted him photos which were terrible because (a) my non-smart cell phone takes horrible pictures and (b) by the time i got even a semi-decent pic, the whipped cream filling was melting causing the top layer to slide. a few months later i made him a Black Forest Cake. { i baked real cakes then sent him terrible pictures. as bad as they looked, they tasted great! the fun for me was baking something i’d never tried before. } {smile}
Peter has been living and working in Spain for the last 17 years. he works as a freelance teacher, teaching English as a foreign/second language. an amateur writer who’s trying to “get his head round what it means to be me at the ‘meridian’ of his life. how he fits this space and this time fits him ~ writing is a form of expression that allows him to do it.” Peter likes writing, poetry, haiku, art, American fiction, thinking, business, beauty, music, philosophy, physics, natural history, mathematics, writing… he has published poems *Zanzibar* in Symmetry Pebbles Issue 2, haiku published in the British Haiku Society Members’ Anthology 2011, and several haiku and senryu in upcoming journals of the British Haiku Society. Peter has two blogs ~ expatinCAT’s Blog and tesellatedme. in his own words ~
