to celebrate {inter}national poetry month, i was so pleased to be featuring some of the most creative, talented, brilliant {really!} poets of our time. i have been fortunate over the past two and a half years to meet this amazing group of people through twitter and their blogs. not only are they writers who excite and enchant and entrance their readers, they are, one and all, nice people who are supportive of everyone in our online poetry community. the “age of technology” has, in fact, facilitated the spread of the ARTS! ~ poetry, photography, art, prose, music… i have friends i have yet to meet face-to-face from all around the world. day or night, you can visit their blogs and be transported to another time or place or frame of mind with just a few clicks of a mouse. i find it thrilling! and i believe you will find it equally thrilling to discover their words.
i put up these posts throughout the month of April to reacquaint you with old friends and introduce you to new ones. i participated in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge April 2012 by featuring the poets in alphabetical order by first name MOST of the time. THIS IS MY FINAL A to Z Challenge post!!! and i am happy to say that i didn’t miss a single day. {smile}
the response to my requests has been overwhelming! i am going to continue the featured poet posts into May until all of the almost sixty { yes! 60 } poets have been featured. keep your eyes open for a new featured poet post every few days in May.

Tammy aka Bat-Ami Gordin { her full name } aka zongrik { her blog name } is a talented writer, poet, artist with an edge that leaves me laughing my ass off more often than not. i love her writing! Tammy is an animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. it is quite fitting that we are ending (inter)national poetry month with Tammy, as her poetry covers a wide range of styles and she is a perfect example of today’s internet poet/blogger. enjoy!!!

i would have loved to have included more poets, but it just wasn’t possible in the amount of time which i can devote to my blog right now. there are many, many more poets who are far better writers than i, and i sincerely hope no one is offended that i did not ask them to participate. these are the poets i “know” and felt comfortable approaching. maybe you and i can get better acquainted before next year? {smile} thank you for your visit! ♥ dani
