ɕ
between raindrops
a light scent of musk
drifted through the air
reaching a man
sitting alone
ɕ
as though
in a dream
the irresistible scent
drew the man
to a beautiful tree
ɕ
dark pink flowers
with delicate centers
called to him
waiting
to be plucked
ɕ
one blossom
stood out
untouched by the rain
glowing
as if lit from within
ɕ
the man
held the fragile flower
ever so gently in his hand
with no memory
of how it got there
ɕ
he walked back to his cottage
layed down
upon his bed
and lightly
began stroking its petals
ɕ
he teased
the center nibs
feeling them
become erect
under his fingertips
ɕ
softly
he stroked
the deepest
center
of the bloom
ɕ
a
small
sigh
caused
petals to flutter
ɕ
he
could not resist
licking the deep center
with
the tip of his tongue
ɕ
a sweet nectar
began
to flow…
greedily
he licked every drop
ɕ
he became
intoxicated
by the heady scent
and the ambrosia
upon his tongue
ɕ
closing his eyes
for just a moment
he opened them
upon
a wondrous sight
ɕ
next to him
lay a beautiful woman
her luscious pink lips
smiling
at him
ɕ
they kissed
igniting
the fires
of
a fierce passion
ɕ
no choice
but
to
give themselves over
to their desire
ɕ
long, slow kisses
licking…
tasting…
nibbling…
hungry for more
ɕ
hands
exploring…
caressing…
stroking…
pleasuring one another
ɕ
their bodies joined
as passion grew
until
it could be contained
no longer
ɕ
an explosion
that shook their world
leaving them spent
content
in each other’s arms
ɕ
he was awakened
by
the morning sun
shining
through the windows
ɕ
next to him
lay a dark pink blossom
wilted
but still beautiful
…he smiled

Spring Fever indeed! The sap certainly begins rising as warm days commence. You worked the metaphor very well – I liked the way it all ended with the dark flower upon the pillow.
thank you, Kerry! ♥ i appreciate your visit and kind comment. {smile}
I was delighted to see an anime soundtrack posted on your blog as well. Now I don’t feel any guilt about mine at all (not that I felt much to begin with ;) ).
i take music from television commercials and programs ~ anime is certainly a better source than those, don’t you think? {smile} thank you for your visit and comment!
Pheeew…that was some flower he picked. Very sensual write. Lovely!
thank you! ♥ this was one of those poems that just flowed upon seeing the gorgeous photograph. i appreciate your visit and kind comment.
That’s beautiful. I love it!
By the way, mine (Fireblossom’s) is dedicated to…YOU!
awwwwwwww! how sweet are YOU! i am touched to the very center of my heart ~ thank you! ♥♥♥
i remember this one…and def love the sensuality you bring out in it…whew….i may need to find a spring shower to cool me off a bit…the intimacy with nature though is a beautiful thing…i love being out in it…so refreshing…
{smile} thanks, brian!
This was like a beautiful dream. Lovely.
thank you, miss mouse! ♥ you’re very kind.
I admire the build-up of the mood as the poem progresses, and love the culmination of the man waking to the blossom. Good one!
thank you, Sherry! ♥ i do appreciate your visit and kind comment.
This is hot, Dani!
thanks, Laurie! ♥ i call this flower porn. {giggle}
oh my goodness….i need a shower…ha….it’s hot in here…smiles…nice…!!!!
thank you, claudia! ♥ i think this is the most erotic poem i’ve ever written. {smile}
The first half was so beautiful, and far more erotic than the second. I didn’t even find it necessary for you to ever say that the flower became a woman; that was quite evident in the way he touched the flower. This is not a criticism; it’s a sincere compliment about the power of the first half … incredibly strong visuals. These are my favorite parts:
“between raindrops a light scent of musk drifted through the air reaching a man sitting alone”
“one blossom stood out untouched by the rain glowing as if lit from within”
“the man held the fragile flower ever so gently in his hand with no memory of how it got there”
what a wonderful comment and compliment, Shawna! ♥ thank you so very much!
Warm, isn’t it? A lovely pink metaphor…hot pink, I think. Enjoyed it, dani.
{smile} happy you like it, Joy. ♥
Alluring and mystical….

Just beautiful! I am always so excited when spring arrives each year.
thank you so much, Mary! ♥ your visits and kind comments mean a lot to me.
I really enjoyed how small you grew in the scent of the flower flowing between the raindrops. This entire poem is filled with richness of the flower and the intimate experience with it. Very beautiful!
thank you, Hannah! ♥ you’re very kind.
My pleasure! :)
{smile} i’ll be by your blog this weekend. ♥
Aww..thanks, Dani!! I’ll look forward to your visit! :)
see you soon! ♥
This is a perfect poem to illustrate how mankind’s relationship with nature should be — sweet, loving, satisfying.
