when it’s time for me
to depart this world
i want to go out with a bang!
•ɸ•
singing and dancing
with a marching band
high-steppin’ all the way
•ɸ•
no looking back
and no regrets
what’s done is done
after all
•ɸ•
i might as well
make a lot of noise
as i bid this life farewell

Why do people have to pick Friday for new Writing prompts?
Sunday is the least used day…Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Anyway, Loved your 55 Dani.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
awww! but you love Shay! thanks, G! ♥ it’s always fun to play.
This is great. Well done. And, oh, yeah, me too!
thank you, PattiKen! ♥ i appreciate your visit and kind comment.
I love that pic, dani–if i hadn’t been writing on something completely different, i would have chosen it. And your poem fits it perfectly–might as well enter the spirit world with spirit. ;_)
thank you, Joy! ♥ i LOVE the pic!
Wonderful! I love New Orleans jazz bands, Down by the Riverside, When the Saints Go Marching In…a glorious way to depart this world.

An Unfittie’s Guide to Adventurous Travel
thank you, Kay! ♥ i appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
What a wonderful spirit of departure. I always loved the idea of the NO funeral marching bands. And this poem captures the idea so well! And thank you for posting the Poetry Jam link!
thank you, Peggy! ♥ you know i love Poetry Jam!
Oh, I love this, Sista Poet! Ani Difranco has a song where she says she’s gonna make a lot of noise when she goes down…that everyone for blocks is gonna know she died. I think you and she are on the same page!
My father was a huge fan of New Orleans jazz, and I like it a lot, too. Great post, and thanks so much for being part of the first FF!
your Fireblossom Friday is FABulous! ♥ i’ll have to check out the Ani Difranco song, thanks. the photo is wonderful! ♥
Dani, I am with you all the way!! I want to live my life in such a way that there are no regrets when it is over with. I want nothing I have control over to remain undone! Very wise poem.
thank you, Mary! ♥ you’re very sweet!
Perfect accompaniment to the photo……out with a bang, and plenty of music! Good plan!
thank you, Sherry! ♥ seems like the way to go to me. {smile}
heck yeah…i am going to go out banging pots and having a blast…dancing…smiles….and i hope those that gather at my passing do the same…
{giggle} banging pots? i hadn’t thought of that. {smile} i hope your passing is not for a looooong, looooong time, brian!
Great poem. I want the same thing….out with a bang. Great picture.
Melanie
thank you, Melanie! ♥ i really appreciate your visit and kind comment.
I like this kind of attitude…this is way we should say farewell ~
thank you so much for your visit and comment, Heaven! ♥
This was pure fun and I so would love not to only go out that way, but to live my life that way. I’m starting to learn to do so… ! :) This was a ultra-fabulous 55 and Poetry Jam contribution! (loved the marching band, too)
thank you so much, Margaret! ♥ i try to live that way {though i’m not always successful!} i really appreciate you stopping by and your sweet comment.
Fun, cuts to it, relatable
