i sung of Chaos and Eternal Night
within the Eye of the Hurricane
where up was down
back was forward
and the silence echoed your name
•º•
nothing could tear away
my need for you
in dark
in cold
inside
below
•º•
all sanity gone
all vanity done
all emotions just one
pain
dancing
to the song i sung
of Chaos and Eternal Night
•º•
no end to the night
no end to your spite
no will left to fight
i held the pain close
singing
sweet nothings
to no one
•º•
i sung of Chaos and Eternal Night
from within the Eye of the Hurricane

“Rock You Like A Hurricane” Scorpions
lyrics ~
It’s early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I’ve got to leave
It’s time for a show
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He’s licking his lips
He’s ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Rock you like a hurricane
It’s early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And really loud
My cat is purring
It scracthed my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He’s licking his lips
He’s ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am

dani- I live close to the coast so every hurricane season it’s a gamble as to whether or not we will get hit… the song brings me back quite a few years. = )
that has to bring a lot of stress to your life! i was only thinking of an emotional hurricane. and yes… a very old song, isn’t it? ♥ thank you for your visit and comment, Laurie. {smile} they are much appreciated.

Well written. I like the repeating lines between the longer verses. Very effective.
thank you, Sherry! ♥ you really are too kind!
Nicely done…really enjoyed this!
thank you, Shanyn! ♥ your visit and kind comment are appreciated.
i like to think love a hurricane itself…it can be devastating actually in its destruction…but it also can move earth and inside that eye feel calm and safe….
always good to see you dani
it’s good to see you, too, brian! thank you for coming by. {smile} when love works it can move heaven and earth, can’t it?
I think you have weaved that wonderful line into your work beautifully! Intensely crafted, a fantastic read!
thank you, Natasha! ♥ i appreciate your visit and kind comment.
ah those rockstar boys in their skintight leather pants…sigh. I love the Scorps, and that song. As always dani, you please all the senses with your carefully constructed posts. Your poem also resonates–that place in the eye of a wild hurricane, I lived in it for years, repetitively hurricanes being seasonal and all–one might almost call it a Madhouse–but there’s Hope if you follow that dim candle, girl.
i’ll try to keep my eye on the candle flame, Joy. {smile} thank you for coming by. ♥
singing sweet nothings to no one…love this…so much said in just one line.. also love the image of the eye of the hurricane…all in all a safe place in all the storm going on around..
thank you, claudia! ♥ i really appreciate your visit and kind comment.
Life certainly whirls us in hurricanes when it chooses. Well expressed piece. :)
